The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards have returned!

Once all of your favorite artists modeled their exciting fashion on the red carpet, they made their way inside to see who would take home the iconic moonman trophy in a show hosted by Megan Thee Stallion.

Taylor Swift led the pack with the most nominations, earning 12 total including Artist of the Year and Video of the Year for her collaboration with Post Malone, who was also among the top nominated for the night. This was also a big year for first-time nominees, with 29 newcomers receiving their first-ever VMA nomination, including artists like Morgan Wallen, Jelly Roll, Chappell Roan, Gracie Abrams and Benson Boone.

Additionally, Katy Perry received the Video Vanguard Award, a lifetime achievement award presented to an artist for outstanding contributions and profound impact on music videos and pop culture, per Billboard. Past recipients include Shakira, Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott, Jennifer Lopez, P!NK, Rihanna and more.

Many of the night's nominees also showed off how they got their nods by hitting the stage, with performances from artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Halsey, LL Cool J, GloRilla, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes and more.
