Massachusetts State Trooper Jim Maloney sprang into action to keep a family of ducks together and safe. The Officer discovered that eight baby ducklings had fallen into a storm drain and had no way of escaping. So, Jim called an animal control expert and got a crowbar so he could pry open the heavy grate. Once the ducklings were freed the mother took them to a safe grassy area out of harm's way.
