So, there is a new study out from Dr. Stanley Coren, who is a canine expert and professor of psychology at the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Coren says his research shows that hugging and cuddling with your dog actually makes it MORE stressed out!
He says that a dog's first line of defense is to be able to run away, so when you smother your dog with love and attention by snuggling with him/her...you make them anxious and miserable!
Two things...
First, how to do you get the title "canine expert" and how can I apply for it?! I've always considered myself a bit of a "canine expert" as well!
