Cape Cod Makers is a group which, according to their website, promotes a community where people can collaborate and encourage one another in bringing their ideas into existence.
Well, now they have decided to bring all of those collaborative resources together to help medical professionals at Cape Cod Healthcare!
Cape Cod Makers, along with many volunteers and companies on the Cape that providing manpower and needed resources, are using 3-D printers to produce face shields for the medical staff at Cape Cod Healthcare!
They told the Cape Cod Times that they've already produced 400 visors in the past four days. And their goal is to help supply the 10,000 visors and 60,000 shields that Cape Cod Healthcare has said they need.
And, if you are like me and have never seen a 3-D printer before, check out how it works...
