I don't know about you, but I'm done with the swearing on national TV!
I know that in our world today we appreciate people being "real" and honest with who they are when they communicate how they are feeling. And I agree that being honest is important when trying to establish a relationship with your audience and fans.
But somewhere along the line, being "real" turned into just being crass!
I'm not naive...people swear...I swear! It happens. But I wouldn't just randomly swear at a time or in a conversation where it wouldn't be appropriate...like while my voice is being broadcast over public airwaves, where many different ages of people may hear...or many different sensitivities could be affected!
Take last night at the Grammy's... "This is the Grammy's, B----!" That's one of the first things Lizzo said on stage in her opening act.
Now, I like Lizzo. In fact, I was really impressed by the vocal range she displayed and the flute playing she did during her set! My only question is...why was the B---- necessary?!
Call me old fashioned, but I don't get it...what do you think?
