It's summertime! And I'm sure that, no matter how hard you try, you're going to find yourself getting a little too much sun at one point...and that's going to lead to a sunburn!
Now the question...what's the best way to help ease the pain!
Well, guess what?! It's actually not aloe vera...which, I know, I usually turn to.
According to a medical study, aloe vera is better than nothing...but it's not doing much to halt the damage you did to your skin.
Instead, the study says to try these two things instead.
First, take ibuprofen to help with the inflammation the UV rays did to your skin cells.
Then, to help with the burning, take a 10-15 minute bath in lukewarm-water with a cup of apple cider vinegar in it! It has anti-inflammatory properties that can calm your skin and cool down the burn more than aloe!
So, if you can stand smelling like a plate of fish and chips for a few minutes, you might want to give it a try!
