So, this may get me in a bit of hot water...but I'm diving in!
I am not a big fan of ABC's The Bachelorette franchise!
I don't understand how these contestants can go on national TV and compete with a bunch of other people for the "love" of one person! Mind you, for this actual Bachelor or Bachelorette...I'm sure it's a blast! Getting all of this attention from potential beaus with a chance to "try out" each one and cast aside those who don't make the cut!
I've always felt the show's concept was a bit demeaning. Well, come to find out, so does Kelly Ripa! A couple of days ago on Live with Kelly & Ryan, she blasted the show and their creators with some of the same thoughts I've always had! Before her interview with the current Bachelorette, she had this to day about the whole show...
“Guys, you know how I feel about this show. It disgusts me. And I thought that I was disgusted because I couldn’t stand the idea of 25 exceptional women fighting over one ordinary fella, in my opinion. You know how I feel, ladies: We are too special to be arguing over a guy.”
Well, Bachelorette Nation fired back at Kelly...big time...with lots of criticism about her comments!
