What a treacherous, uncomfortable world we live in today!
There is no question at all as to what my favorite clip from yesterday's Olympic competition was...it was the amazing, final run from Team USA snowboarder, Shaun White that brought him back from behind to clinch his 3rd career gold medal!
It was a walk-off home run...a last second basket at the buzzer...a Hail Mary TD past to win the game!
The sad part was after the fireworks and fanfare, stories started coming out about the sexual harassment suit that Shaun settled out of court brought by a woman who was a former drummer in his band. The episodes, if true, are disgusting and he deserves the repudiation that he has already gotten and any more that may come along!
So, I've decided not to post a link to the clip of his gold medal winning run...and I am sure that any time I ever see it again from this point on, the knowledge of his off-the-slope actions that we found out about after his grand sporting achievement will undoubtedly cast a heavy shadow on what I will see!
