Here on the Cape we see a lot of Monarch butterflies. I've even witnessed the mass migration in California seeing thousands flutter by as Lynn and I relaxed in the warm Cali sunshine.
Recently in Eastham i was treated to a behind the scenes look at the Monarch - seeing the tiny eggs and then the growing caterpillars that must continue to eat or die.
the caterpillars will attach themselves to a branch and then form a 'J' shape for chrysalis time before they hatch into the beauties the will become and then the long journey south before the winter arrives.
When the chrysalis happens i'll update the article with more pictures.
