Here's today's feel-good story:
Edith Murway-Traina was 91 when she visited the gym for the first time, persuing her goal to get stronger.
“While I was watching those ladies doing their thing I thought I might just as well … pick up a few bars,” Edith said. “So I did, and they got to be fun.”
Edith broke the world record for deadlifts in her age group, deadlifting 150 pounds! She is now the official record-holder for the oldest powerlifter.
She turned 100 this past August, and isn't intending on slowing down! Her next competition is set for November, where she hopes to break her own record set in 2019.
