Bird Flu Suspected In Deaths Of Turkeys In Edgartown

Bird flu is suspected in the deaths of around 20 wild turkeys in Edgartown.

The turkeys were found dead over the weekend in the Smith Hollow neighborhood.

Several of the dead turkeys were brought to MassWildlife for testing, while the rest were disposed of by animal control officers.

State officials say it appears the avian influenza is widespread, killing wild and domestic birds around Massachusetts.
