Amy Schumer ran into a celebrity at the gym 25 years ago, and the encounter was so embarrassing that all the "stupid" details are still engraved in her brain.

The beloved comedian appeared on the January 22 episode of Call Her Daddy and explained the "mortifying" interaction to podcast host Alex Cooper.

"Okay, this is a long time ago, but I was at an Equinox — flex. And Alec Baldwin was there. This is 25 years ago. He was getting water, and I was behind him at the water fountain. I was like, I quoted Glengarry Glen Ross, and I said 'Water is for closers.'"

Schumer delivered the line to Baldwin at the water fountain and immediately blacked out.

"I should have killed myself instantly. I don't remember. Like I blacked out because it was so stupid. I don't know if he acknowledged me, but I am sorry."

In addition to awkward run-ins with celebs at the gym, the Trainwreck star opened up about her health, telling Cooper that hateful comments she received from trolls regarding her appearance actually led her to discover that she had Cushing syndrome in 2024.

"A year ago, the Internet really came for me. I was like, 'Okay, everybody, like, relax,'" Schumer shared, revealing that steroid injections she received for her scars gave her Cushing syndrome "which I wouldn't have known if the internet hadn't come for me so hard."
