Steamship Authority's Chief Operating Officer Announces Resignation

Mark Higgins has announced that he is resigning from his position as the Steamship Authority's Chief Operating Officer.

According to the Vineyard Gazette, Steamship Governor James Malkin says Higgins received a job offer near his home in Maine and he will remain on the job until early December.

General Manager Bob Davis says on behalf of the entire organization, he thanks Higgins for his service to the Steamship Authority and wishes him well in his future endeavors.

Davis says he plans to discuss the vacancy with the Board and members to determine a timeline for next steps.
