A large, great white shark washed ashore in Orleans Tuesday and had to be removed from the beach by a tow truck.
Police have released photos of the shark, which is being taken to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy for a necropsy.
The conservancy says at this point they don't know if the shark was tagged or previously identified.
