State Lawmakers Expected To Pass New Maternal Health Bill

The Massachusetts House is reportedly expected to pass a maternal health bill.

The intent is to improve maternal health outcomes for people of color by creating more ways for pregnant women to get the care they need.

It also includes allowing certified midwives to be licensed in the state.

That would mean the services of midwives would be covered by MassHealth.
