Kris Jenner doesn't hold back on giving her large family advice, especially when it comes to raising children, and as she's a mother to six and a grandmother to 13, she has plenty of experience to draw from.
During the season nine premiere episode of Next Question with Katie Couric on Thursday (April 11), Couric chatted with the famous momager all about family and what it is like being a grandmother. While Couric recently became a grandmother after her daughter welcomed her first child, Jenner has had years of experience in the role. Her first grandchild was born to her daughter Kourtney Kardashian in 2009, and most of her other children — including Kim, Khloé and Rob Kardashian as well as Kylie Jenner — have added to the growing family in the years since.
The pair spoke about how the term "grandma" makes them think of someone much older than they feel, and Jenner even revealed that's why she decided her own grandchildren would call her "Lovey" instead.
"One of my mom's really good friends was named Lovey and I just remember when I was a little girl thinking that is the coolest, most beautiful name I'd ever heard," she said. "And so that just popped in my mind when Kourtney said 'pick a name,' that's what I picked. ... It's very cute."
With so many of her kids raising children of their own, there is bound to varying parenting styles within the group. Jenner acknowledged that even if they may have differently approaches to parenting, she's still going to give her kids advice, per People.
"I always speak my mind... when you feel like making a comment or offering unsolicited advice," she said, adding that she likely occasionally gets on her children's nerves. "I'm sure I annoy them constantly, my kids."
