New Equipment To Be Bought With Million Dollar Federal Grant

Martha's Vineyard Hospital has secured just over one million dollars in federal funds.

Officials say the one-point-zero-seven million dollars will be used to meet the needs of the Island population.

The hospital will be able to purchase new telemetry units for the acute-care wing of the hospital for real-time patient monitoring, along with a fiberoptic surgical system and other needs.

The funds come as part of the one-point-two-trillion-dollar spending measure signed into law by President Joe Biden last week.
