Verizon Expanding On The Cape

Verizon has announced it will expand fiberoptic connectivity on Cape Cod.

Company officials recently called on the Cape Cod Technology Council for support as the firm applies for 20-million-dollars in federal funding.

If attained, the money would come through the Massachusetts Broadband Institute.

The Cape Cod Commission is currently examining internet access across the region, which includes the difference in access between the summer months and off-season for area businesses.
