Report Reveals State Hospital Losses Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

A new state report says that Massachusetts hospitals lost a combined more than 2 billion dollars because of the pandemic.

According to the Center for Health Information and Analysis the 2.8-billion dollars is only between January 1st and March 31st.

The report does not account for federal Covid-19 monies. Baystate Health reported almost 88-million dollars in losses.

Trinity Health reported a loss but did not say how much. There was one hospital that reported a small profit.

The Cooley Dickinson Hospital had 1.8-million dollars in income according to the report.
