I think it is a simple thing to say thank you even if it is just being polite.
Now there is science behind the fact that there is such a positive result from a new study.
The "gratitude group" in this University of Indiana study were more positive and optimistic about their lives. They were more physically active and visited the doctor less. People in this test group even slept better.
With 40 million Americans struggling with mental health I think a few kind words can go a long way!
