The Creative Exchange (CX) Conference offers personal and professional development for anyone working in the arts sector, including artists, arts leaders, staff at arts and culture nonprofits, and staff at arts galleries and performance venues as well as anyone interested in the arts.
This year's conference will kick off with a Fireside Chat between MassArt President Dr. Mary Grant and Arts Foundation Executive Director Julie Wake.
Dr. Tasha Golden, who has spent the past decade researching and speaking about the benefits the arts has on our health and well-being, will deliver the Keynote Speech. In her talk, she will reveal how artists and arts organizations can reimagine what they do, where it belongs, and how to grow and sustain their valuable work.
Panel discussions will include Public-Private Partnerships; Creative Conversations: Engaging the Arts Community; and Branding the Arts on Cape Cod: Elevating Our Unique Identity.
Panelists will include Cultural Center of Cape Cod Executive Director Molly Demeulenaere, multimedia artist Brittni Ann Harvey of Fall River, Nichols St. Consulting CEO Brittney Nichols, Vervaine Creative Director Alison Parker, poet John Bonanni of South Yarmouth, visual artist and author Justin Hansen of Bourne, The Mosquito producer Vanessa Vartabedian of Truro, and more.
There will be performances by musicians Carla Kihlstedt and Matthias Bossi of Dennis, as well as musician Katie Castagno of Eastham.
Admission to the CX Conference includes lunch provided by Pizza Barbone in Hyannis.
Tickets are $80 for non-Creative Exchange members. The price includes one-year of membership to the Arts Foundation's Creative Exchange program.
Tickets for Creative Exchange members are $50.
