Memorial Day weekend...
For a lot of us, it's a chance to get together with family & friends with a BBQ or maybe a trip to the beach.
But Memorial Day itself means much more than that! It was actually created as a solemn day...a day to take a moment to remember the men & women who lost their lives while serving in our armed forces while protecting our freedom and our way of life.
That is why I find this new survey really sad...
57% of Americans have NO idea what the meaning behind Memorial Day truly is!
Now, some of that 57% actually thought that the holiday commemorated all military veterans who have served. That is actually a common mistake...that is actually what Veterans Day is all about.
