Panic is spreading across Patriots Nation!
So, last week, it was announced that Tom Brady signed a new 3-year contract with the Patriots to keep him on the roster through the 2021 season. Great news, right?!
Well...as the real story came out, the deal is in actuality a nice bump in salary for the GOAT this year, but it is in all actuality, only a one-year deal!! Either the Pats or Tom can opt out after this season is over.
So, everybody is freaking out that this season may be the end! The rumors are that Tom is frustrated by Bill and doesn't feel appreciated by the Patriots organization..that Tom could be playing for another team next year, like the Houston Texans or the Tennessee Titans!
And add to that, Tom & Giselle just put they're Brookline mansion on the market today for $39.5 million!
Cue Taylor Swift..."you need to calm down."
I have never seen an interview by Tom Brady where he didn't talk glowingly about how much he loves playing for Coach Belichick and offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels and about how close he is to Robert Kraft and the whole Kraft family. And add to that, if the rumors were true that Robert told Bill that he had to get rid of Jimmy G. a couple of years ago because Tom was staying, there is a lot of loyalty there!
So all I'm saying is...don't hyperventilate! I can't see any way that Robert Kraft would let Tom Brady end his career with another team...and I can't see money being an obstacle for Robert or Tom! Maybe it's just me, but I just can't see any way that Tom would up and leave the Patriots to play anywhere else!
I hope I don't regret this blog one day LOL!
